ready set sew

i am ready to get serious about sewing
there are many projects i want to try and
i even signed up for a jacket class at Joanns!
the jacket is simplicity 4032 and is the one in the middle of pic 3
before i attempt the 2 dresses from (pic 2) darlingdexter blog i think i will try something more like this elastic band empire waist dress (pic 4) from smashedpeasandcarrots blog
and i would like to try the maternity skirt in the top pic from kojodesigns blog
ok let's go!

baby's first unicorn

luke's nursery needed a unicorn
so i took one of my stuffed animals and added a wreath
of blue and aqua flowers to his neck
and i also sewed a custom saddle with luke's initial.
he watches guard from the enchanted window seat

the above yarn i am using in luke's baby afghan
it is coming along and I adore the color-teal

for my baby bear

here is my first baby bear hat
that i crocheted for my baby bear luke
it even has ears!
with all this crocheting my sewing machine is feeling neglected
sad face
not to worry i have more projects coming up!

(with a sweet baby blazer from old navy)

3. a sewn fabric bow tie
4. and of course luke's baby bump at 24 weeks
