Pure Bliss!

I love this ad that I found in a magazine!
This is how I feel about housekeeping-
I would much prefer to have a party and hang from a chandelier then clean, dust, vacuum, sweep etc...
I also love that the gal has red hair and is wearing a ballgown.
How appropriate!
Sometimes we take life to serious and focus on the negative-
we need to remember to let loose and think happy thoughts.
The world is our oyster!

Paris for Kids?

Brock hasn't been born yet and already I have big dreams for him and our family.
It all starts with seeing his dad hold him for the first time, telling him I love him, singing him the Michigan fight song, and reading Where the Wild Things Are .
When he is a little bit older and has a sibling(s) we will bake gingerbread men, make wishes and blow dandelions in the backyard, take the dogs for walks, look for caterpillars, take pictures of clouds.....

Not once had I considered taking him to Paris! It is one of the most beautiful and magical cities in the world and when Joe and I visited there 2 years ago we had an amazing time eating crepes next to the Eiffel Tower, seeing Monet's waterlilies, having a french Starbucks.

Then I read an article in one of my favorite magazine's,
http://www.cookiemag.com. They described how with kids you can see a city in a whole new playful light. Whether you are having an ice cream cone outside the Louvre, or pushing a sailboat in a Parisian fountain, or riding the enchanted carousel for the one hundredth time, Paris is not just a cultural experience it is also a whimsical one at that. With kids you will see things from their younger and fresher perspective and appreciate the little things life has to offer, not just the stuffy museums and bad food.

As for me and Brock I think we will start with exploring the backyard and go from there.

Baby Brock!

There are many special milestones in a pregnancy.
The first is the pregnancy test, followed by seeing the heartbeat, feeling the first kick, seeing the first fuzzy ultrasound, buying maternity pants....
All important and meaningful but still 6 months into the adventure a woman might not feel like it is really real!
But it is real and he has his own room with his name in it!
Brock's due date is April 6, 2008
And his mum and daddy already love him to the moon and back!
