my word for 2012

i have thought about this post all month (and all year)
i felt like it needed flourishes and clever phrases and beautiful images
but the truth is
my word is a feeling that can't accurately be described
it will evolve over time
it is a journey that starts with a first step
i didn't pick the word
it picked me
it is what i am supposed to do in 2012
and joe feels it to
we want to grow our family
and it will take some time to decide how to do that
my word for 2012 is

things to daydream about

2012 began with lovely goals and expectations
and dreams of a word that begins with the letter g
my word for 2012
but it has been a lil hard with sick babies and a massive headache that is finally gone
and i got behind with everything except cleaning the house which i guess is good!
anyway here is to getting caught up and then not pressuring myself or stressing out

christmas came early

what a weekend!
work Christmas party, downtown mckinney parade,
donuts, brownies, starbucks, antique Christmas shopping,
but nothing as exciting as luke taking so many steps on his own
and brock having success in bathroom! 3 times!

capes for cold texas weather

it is finally blustery here today!
it is atleast 70!
time for hot chocolate and scarves and maybe even boots!
i am already researching capes
and maybe i will sew one up!

I have given up most blog reading but wanting to gain inspiration for crafts so stumbled across this blog today and read this post
i spontaneously left this comment which i NEVER do
but the words flowed out
this is what i said
its a myth that we can do it all
give all to our kids
all the time
there is no such thing as super mom
we need to stop striving for this unattainable unrealistic expectation
for ourselves and all moms
after all if we had wanted to give all day all day long all day long
without a second thought
we would have become nuns not moms

i meant to write all day long 3 times to make my point!
