snow day

yesterday we got snow
lots and lots of fluffy whimsical snowflakes
brock was very enchanted by them
it was the perfect day to stay inside all cozy, drinking cocoa, taking care of children, and
dreaming up warm crochet goodies
the 2 cowl scarves are from ravelry
i am making the 2nd one in deep red
the crocheted edging on the coat is from the book, crochet adorned

january lovelies

i am in need of some loveliness to counter the dirty diapers
and late night feedings
i need that hairstyle
i love the color combinations of the paper rosettes
i also love the lollies on the walls with doilies in the centers

our snowy narnia

it was the longest hour at willowbend
waiting in line to meet santa in his narnia themed snowland
brock was "spirited" as we waited in line
then luke got hungry
and we seemed to not be moving for a half hr
i was ready to leave but then we reached the room of falling snow
and it was so ethereal it was worth the wait
then the boy met santa and gave him a hug
and we got the best picture ever with brock and his baby reindeer brother
i am glad we persevered
